Our winter 2022 issue focuses on going inwards – retreating from the world for a while – cocooned by comfort in serene surroundings.
We travel from Cape Town to the Karoo, and across the border to Zambezi, to showcase some of the most unexpected homes, getaways and faraway landscapes that evoke a sense of ease, peacefulness, and wonderment.
We visit near and far, atop the mountain and below the stars…
All our featured spaces were selected for their soulful energy, their mystical charm and because they inspire a sense of adventure.
We also hero natural textures and tones with bursts of colour, zoom in on decor and design with a difference, take time out to prioritise wellbeing and share our favourite books to read on a break.
As always our issues highlight local design and bring the best products to life. Inspired by the celestial and magical, Vol. 5 : Retreat does this through the enhanced light of day and night.
