We kicked off Art Week in Cape Town at Lemkus Gallery (formerly known as THEFOURTH) to celebrate 30 years of House and Leisure.
Raising a glass to all those who inspire – past, present and future – connecting with founders, friends and LOOKBOOK family.
This gallery serves as a digital archive of the evening, and an ode to all those who have participated in making House and Leisure what it is today.
Above Launched in 1993 by industry pioneers Jane Raphaely and Sumien Brink, the two share a moment at the House and Leisure 30th birthday party. Birthday cake by Roxanne Denbury of Roxy Floquet and candles by Okra.
Above A series of installations throughout the Lemkus space inspired by each edition of House and Leisure (1-12) since the relaunch in 2021. Artworks generously supplied and printed by ArtLab.

Above The long table in the centre of the space allowed guests the opportunity to page through 30 years of archival editions, a nostalgic novelty for many and a fun reminder of how far we’ve come as an industry.
