Defining refined, pared-back luxury

At Decorex 2025, Nuuma unveiled a striking architectural showcase that redefined kitchen design as immersive art. Inspired by the fluidity of contemporary galleries, the installation welcomed visitors into the Nuuma sphere – an environment where form, light, and material converged to tell a story of refined minimalism and quiet luxury.
At the heart of the exhibit was the N10 range, presented with precision and elegance. Stone surfaces met the soft depth of urban mist satin lacquer doors, while woven bronze glass introduced richness and tactility. The dialogue between strength and subtlety highlighted Nuuma’s signature language of restraint and refinement.
The installation’s defining element – a bold curved structure – symbolised movement, openness, and the ongoing evolution of design. Floating shelves, delicately backlit, offered rhythm and intimacy, contrasting the sculptural scale of the stand. The result was a space where functionality was elevated into an art form.
The vision resonated strongly with visitors and judges alike, earning Nuuma the award for Best Overall Stand at Decorex 2025.
The new Nuuma showroom
Nuuma’s showcase at Decorex built on the momentum of its recently unveiled 400-square-meter Johannesburg showroom – a permanent expression of the same ethos of paired-back luxury.
Walking through the space, guests encounter warm herringbone oak flooring and French panelling, setting the tone for timeless elegance. Six fully installed kitchens, along with wardrobe and component areas, allow for a tactile exploration of Nuuma’s four design ranges – N10, N30, N50, and N90. Each range is distinct, yet united by a philosophy of design restraint and enduring quality.
Subtle palettes, precise proportions, and quiet craftsmanship run throughout the showroom. As the Nuuma team explains, the vision was ‘to create a space that doesn’t just display products, but takes you on a journey – an experience of refinement and pared-back luxury’.

Whether in its Johannesburg showroom or on the Decorex stage, Nuuma continues to craft environments that blur the boundaries between architecture, design, and lifestyle. The Decorex showcase reaffirmed this position – transforming kitchens from utility into immersive experiences of modern luxury.
