Timeless layers

Curating spaces with Block & Chisel, where texture, form and considered detail come together to shape a warm, personal, and layered interior
The interplay of black and white gives the handloom Ivory Noir Stripe Throw a graphic clarity, softened by its rich cotton and velvet blend, generous scale and comforting weight. Crafted from ash wood, the limited edition Lina Side Table pairs a turned pedestal base with a clean, contemporary silhouette, its dark finish adding depth and sculptural presence. Warm and painterly, the cherries in a striped bowl print, framed in natural wood, introduces soft colour and texture for an easy, collected feel.
The Old Mill Wall Organiser brings a sense of timeworn utility, crafted from weathered fir wood and lending a workshop-inspired feel to kitchens, studios, or lived-in spaces. Warm and expressive, the still life print of a ceramic jug with white flowers and fruit introduces a soft, painterly layer, framed in natural wood for a relaxed presence. In ceramic, cabbage leaf bowls and matching plates offer a playful, nostalgic freshness. Grounding the look, antique-style terracotta pots bring handmade depth and a gentle, timeworn patina.
The Lisboa Sofa offers a relaxed, refined presence, its linen slipcover softening the silhouette while feather-filled cushions invite a deep and comfortable sit. Layered with it, cushions in velvety greengage and softly striped jade tones add warmth and texture, their tailored piping adding both sophistication and ease. Completing the scene, a still life of figs, water, and trailing greenery introduces an earthy, painterly note – framed in natural wood for a calm, considered finish.

Rooted in a respect for craftsmanship and considered living, each piece reflects Block & Chisel’s enduring approach to interiors – where natural materials, thoughtful design and a sense of permanence come together to create spaces that feel both grounded and quietly refined. With a history dating back to 1987 and now led by Paul McAdam and Sue McCoubrey, this legacy continues through pieces designed to feel as lasting as they are considered.
