Petals and process

Spring 2025

Handmade flowers bloom at V&A Watershed, brought to life in our chapter openers by six local brands that embody an ethos of craft, collaboration, and a constantly evolving creative ecosystem

Watershed is more than a marketplace – it is a vibrant platform within Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront where South African craft and design take centre stage. Rooted in the principles of originality, connection, and creative exchange, Watershed celebrates the stories behind each object and honours the makers who bring them to life. By showcasing handmade flowers from six talented craftspeople, our chapter openers reflect the essence of Watershed’s vision: elevating local craft to global standards while staying deeply grounded in place and process. It is a reminder that design is not just bought, but experienced – as an expression of creativity, heritage, and possibility.
